~Walking In and Getting Out
The past is kind of catching up with me. A good and bad thing.
2 people i met when i was in primary one. A girl and a boy. A classmate and a senior. Changed after these years.
I met my primary one classmate today. She was smoking and had a tatto. Great change from the days when we shared how i like the yellow teletubby lala and she like the red one pooh. The times we spent during recess chasing each other and how i would bang into the wall and hurt my hip.
Its been a while since i last saw her. What great change has befallen. It struck a cord in me. How i casually walked into her life and stepped out again without a sound. Now we meet again and we only gave each other a glance without a greeting or a smile.
Wonder where all my friends will be after yet another 10 years? Will i still be that nut doing mapoleh or not? Guess times change and the saying goes: Change is the only constant.
However time gives pleasant surprises too. I knew this senior since primary two and whenever we pass each others' path we would only pass one world to each other which is none other than "Hi". How i would walk past his classroom after borrowing a broom and dust pan and the same "Hi" again. Funny isnt is, not until after 7 years have we spoke more than a kind of word.
Wonder whether my friends and i will still have the whole world to talk about? Talking until the phone runs out of battery or when my mother screams.
Guess there is no use getting sentimental now or later or forever. Self refelction: Just cherish what i have before it slips away when we move on.
