~what i USED to want to be
When we were little kids, we were already asked what our plans for the future are. Our parents asked us, our relatives asked us, we asked each other and we asked ourselves. So my plan for the future has evolved. So if my teacher kept my essay (i wonder why she would), it would be invalid.
1.BE A DOCTOR
See, my dad wants me to be a doctor. Young, impressionable me got influenced. But im glad that i have learnt from young to differentiate what my parents want out of me and what i want out of myself. If he likes doctors that much, i wonder why he would not visit the doc when he has a cough.
2.BE A LAWYER
See, one of my job criteria is that my job allows me to talk. You have to talk if you want to be a lawyer. Earning big bucks helps too. But thank god that my sister became one. It gave me a glimpse into the cruelties and that well, justice isnt as it is.
3.BE A NURSE
See, my grandmothers were sick. There was a time when either of them would get admitted into the hospital. Nurses are such great help, but rather than being one of them, i should just take a back sit and admire them instead. Cause it aint my calling!
4.OH YES! BE A SUPERSTAR
Yes, it was the most interesting aspiration i had! Camera, lights, action! Honestly, i wanted to be a superstar because it will increase the chances of me getting to meet the stars rather than be one. The bright lights, glamour and red carpet would be any girl's dream. Who knows, the next audrey hepburn?
So, i did not grow up trying to be the next big entrepreneur. But looking back at my aspirations that i realise that they were pretty boring. But my aspirations had motivated me to be a better self. What the future holds, i have no idea. What my past has taught me, i will bring it into the future. At present, being big boss kinda appeals yeah?
I had ideas of a SHOE EMPIRE but i realised that there is a CANDY EMPIRE already. Copy cat! ;)
