~The Grey
They stood in front of each other. The words that she said were like the razor sharp glass in her hands. She slashed it across his chest and the crimson red blood seeped out from his heart. It was only then did she realise that his heart was real. The sound of the drop of red blood that splashed onto the grey tile was audible, so loud it was indeed.
He clenched his fist and hatred surfaced like the veins that were protruding from his skin. She did not dare to look into his eyes, her guilt overwhelmed her with shame. He showed her the beauty of the grey. The grey that seemed too white to be black and too black to be white. She finally understood the beauty of the grey, but like the drop of blood on the grey tile, it was all too late.
It was all too painful and blood trickled down her arm. She realise that she had cut herself deep when she griped the razor hard. Deep velvet red tears then trickled down her eyes. It was then did she realise that her heart was bleeding too. She slumped down on the grey tile, too fearful to look up and see him walk towards the black.
